Intro： Kris Allen是一名来自阿肯色州小岩石镇的阿肯色中央大学大学生，同时也是一名爱好音乐的歌手兼词曲作者。他对音乐的热情真正开始迸发是从13岁时自学了吉他开始，并且在那之后，他通过自学学会了钢琴，小提琴，中提琴和夏威夷四弦琴等几种乐器。他的音乐天赋和他富有灵感的嗓音使他拥有在许多不同场合进行音乐表演的机会，同时也给了他与世界上许多国家的下层贫苦民众分享他的音乐信仰和精神的机遇。Kris是阿肯色州新生命教会在Conway校园的领头人，因此他有许多旅行的机会。他曾经去过西班牙，摩洛哥，泰国，缅甸，莫桑比克，南非等许多国家进行音乐表演，与观众分享那些影响人们信念和激励人们意志的歌曲。 2008年9月26日，他娶了高中恋人Katy O'Connell为妻。

Kris在2007年9月推出了他的第一张未删减版的CD《Brand new shoes》（中文名为《崭新的鞋子》）。这张唱片充分显示出他在歌曲创作，钢琴，吉他以及唱功等方面的突出天赋。尽管Kris的歌曲很有深度，并且充满能量和灵魂，但他却有着谦逊的，令人喜爱的个人特质。

Kris Allen是美国选秀节目《美国偶像》第八季的冠军。Kris Allen在前期曝光率奇低的情况下一路过关斩将，成为这季比赛最大的黑马。他英俊阳光的长相，谦虚有礼的性格，纯净温暖的嗓音以及极高的音乐天赋和强大的改编能力使他深受导师，评委以及观众的欢迎。
